Your browser history and where it lives

Google's new privacy policy went into effect yesterday.  If you want to protect your browser history, it's important to note that you must do it on each device that you use.  Simply go into your Google profile, and look under privacy settings, locate the section called "browser history" and choose the option called "remove all web history."   Do this on your main computer as well as on any other devices that you use such as an iPad or a netbook.

That won't save you from ads popping up on various sites owned by Google that you may use, but it will strengthen that thin line between what you do and what is pitched to you over the Internet.
